My goal in an interview is to inform your listeners and also entertain them. I understand that the reason you have listeners and viewers is because you manage to do both of those things well. I understand it is your show and I am a guest and will work with you to make it a good experience for your audience and you. I also understand that people like a good story. The goal of good writing is to make a feeling connection with the reader.
The same is true of a good interview. Some of this subject matter can be pretty heavy so it is important to use humor as well to keep the listeners tuned in and to add balance.
